The most arid desert in the world is Atacama, located in Northern Chile. This place hides the most fascinating secrets of nature. More than ten million years ago, a big part of these lands were under the sea and hundreds of marine species lived there. Possessor of indescribable beauty, Atacama Desert incorporates a unique geological diversity, which also makes it an ideal area for Astronomic observation and research. Atacama Desert is also known as the archaeological capital of Chile. The scenery of Atacama Desert includes a fantastic variety of landscapes: Moon Valley, mountain lakes with turquoise blue waters, geysers, volcanoes, dunes and salt flats of almost infinite extension. In the years when rainfall is unusually high, lots of seeds and bulbs that were dormant germinate, between September and November, filling the desert with flowers. This rare phenomenon makes Atacama Desert one of the most colorful landscapes ever seen and it has inspired us to create unique handicrafts made of different materials and colors.
